What's Happened the Past Two Months?

I am so not good with this blogging thing.  Why can't I get it together?  So...back to May and June...we finished the end of school and the kids have be chillaxin' at home.  Brennan has been in Strength and Speed Camp for 3 days a week since the beginning of June and will return to football practice on August 8th.  His wound from his football accident has healed quite well.  June flew by!  Went to my Scrappin' Diva retreat on June 23rd-25th.  I left late Saturday night and rushed home to rest for the night before we ventured out on our "drive" to Walt Disney World.  We left on Sunday, June 24th for TWO WHOLE MAGNIFICIENT or shall I say MAGICAL weeks!  We stayed the first night at the Swan near the Boardwalk & Beach Club, then Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa for 10 nights and then surprised the kids with another 3 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge in the Jomba House.  It was truly amazing to be with Jeremy and the kids with not a worry in the world.  Loved this vacation so much!  We didn't do the meal plan this time which caused us to buy groceries for the room.  We tried to eat sandwiches during the day and then ventured out in the evenings for dinner.  We hit Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Bahama Breeze's, Margaritaville (at Universal), Arabuelo's for mexican food, Chevy's for mexican food...and that's what I remember so far.  The entire vacation was relaxing.  We went to Typhoon Lagoon twice, Disney's Quest twice, went to parks whenever we chose, slept in whenever we chose, enjoyed the wonderful pool and tanned in the Florida sun, also enjoyed the Saratoga's Turf Club pool table & lounge!  I even visited the spa for a pedicure on July 4th.  The fireworks were awesome!  We went to Magic Kingdom for a wonderful fireworks show on July 3rd to try to escape the crowds that would be there on July 4th & 5th.  All I can say....WONDERFUL!  Well...we did end up doing the "meal plan" for the last 3 days that we surprised the kids with.  Blah, Umph, Oh me oh my!  It was a lot of food and I'm paying for those 3 days of indulging with all those extra calories!  Arghh!  We ate at Prime Time Cafe', Cape May Cafe', and Tony's at Magic Kingdom along with the snack per day and counter services that we had.  I think my sweet husband has decided the meal plan may just not be worth the price.  We are going back with our friends, the Moon's on Christmas day this year and will be doing the meal plan, but we will see for the next time.  TBA!

So...now I'm back from vacation.  Went to my first football booster club meeting for PMHS the Monday after I returned on Sunday, July 10th.  It's been pretty non stop since.  I volunteered to help with the golf tournament on July 29th.  So...Jeremy sponsored a team called the Coconuts for Palapa Mac Radio and then sponsored a hole.  I sponsored (from the office, of course)....the gift bags with a travel bag that has (toothpaste, brush, floss, lip balm & mouth rinse) and will also include a box of toothpicks.  I also donated 16 boxes of golf balls so each bag would have a set of 3 balls.  Whew!  Another meeting Monday, July 18th and here we are on Wednesday!  Last night was a little interesting...Brennan called me shortly after Jeremy left to come pick him up from strength and speed camp and said "Mom, uh...you need to come up here".  I knew that didn't sound good.  I panicked a bit...surprise, surprise!  Jeremy grabbed the phone and said a grandma had backed into his car so bring paper and pen.  That was strange because I didn't know why he needed me to bring paper and pen....No one at the school had paper and pen?  So...I rushed up to the school and boy did this lady back in to him.  OUCH!  The car looked worse than it did when he was smushed in between two cars in the accident last July in Dallas.  Shortly after I got there...the lady said she had to go...asked if Jeremy needed anything else (didn't even know if his car would be drivable with the bumber on the ground)....we said "no"...and would you believe that the lady backed up very fast and sped off in a school parking lot with a screech!  Oh my goodness!  There are high school kids up there and I was a little shocked that she did that after hitting our car.  I was so thankful that Brennan wasn't driving because he was supposed to drive home after camp.  Thank the Lord!  He was a little shaken anyway.  Just a lesson how fast things can happen.  When we returned home, Jeremy called the lady's insurance company to start the dreaded process.

Of course, I proceed with my bible study and it was so funny!  It was talking about how the Israelites were freed from Egypt and in the PROCESS they grumbled and complained.  Imagine that!  They were being freed and they complained that the food wasn't that wonderful.  Afterall...they could have stayed in slavery and had all the meat and food they wanted and NOW...they were getting out and only had bread!  Wow!  They were upset at this process of not having what they wanted through the process of coming out.  Not seeing what God was doing in restoring them and having patience...So BIG LESSONS for STACY during this season.  At first...it was like wow...we've been hit from ALL directions this year...then I just laughed and thought to myself....no complaining Stacy....YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT GOD IS FIXING TO DO IN THE MCMILLAN FAMILY!!!

So....today's Wednesday.  Tammy Mouton posted on her FB page a few days ago something that I cannot shake from my memory.  "If money can solve your problem, it is NOT a problem".  Now...that is food for thought.  Money can fix that car, money can fix the financial issue with Alvin Diaz, money can fix some things, but only GOD can truly fix our problems (sickness and disease, relationships, etc....)  Loved that quote!  Now for another beautiful day and praying God's will be done in our situations!

Need to talk more about my bible study when I can write again!  ta-ta-for now!
