Grocery Store Man

just wanted to follow up and remember about the man and his daughter at HEB Saturday afternoon.  Brennan and I were trying to rush through HEB Saturday afternoon, when we walked by a man pushing a basket with a little girl with a blanket.  She was laying down in the basket and the man was on his cell phone and I overheard him saying to someone...."my daughter just got out of Texas Children's Hospital and I'm at the pharmacy to pick up her medicine".  He continued to say something like here medicine was $183 and he was only $18 short.  I wasn't sure if he was trying to get her medicine changed or what, but my heart broke for him.  Bren and I went on the isle in front of them and I pulled out a twenty dollar bill.  I quickly handed it to Brennan and said, go give this to that guy.  He did just that.  While the guy was still on the phone, Brennan said "excuse me sir" and handed him the $.  That guy was so taken back and started crying....he said, "God bless you" and went on to say he had recently lost his job.  Brennan and I were so moved that we almost started crying.  I didn't want the man to feel bad so we got out of dodge pretty quickly as he took off with his baby girl, very happily saying "let's go get your medicine".

That was so amazing to me and Brennan to be able to help someone in need.  We saw them as we were getting in to our car.  The man seemed so happy and they were getting in the car with someone as both of us drove off.  It's always easy as human's to speculate and wonder what, why, where, how?  However, just knowing that God restores, gives back, and graciously gave us His life is so much more amazing.  I pray that Brennan will always remember that is such a blessing to HELP someone in need and that is being JESUS to someone!
